Catio Case Study

Catio – Patio – Sunroom – Room Extension

The homeowner initially sought a 12×10 foot outdoor patio, but as the project progressed, it evolved into a “catio” – essentially a specially designed patio for feline friends. She expressed a desire for three picture frame windows to invite ample sunlight, effectively transforming it into a sunroom as well.

Furthermore, the catio was planned to incorporate:

  • Electrical wiring
  • An integrated AC/Heater unit
  • Custom cat shelves
  • Secure swing installation
  • Expertly laid vinyl flooring
  • Installation of two designated cat doors

The exterior structure was carefully designed to seamlessly blend with the existing house, matching its siding, paint, and slanted roof for a cohesive and harmonious look.
